Retired teachers wanted as observers in Teacher Excellence
Program
Our Clearwater TRIF-Unit received the following message that has
been verified and approved for posting by our leadership. You are
urged to read and determine if interested.

Subject: Master Teacher Pilot Program- Observers Needed!
The American Board for the Certification of Teacher
Excellence (ABCTE) is looking for retired teachers and administrators
to serve as observers in our Master Teacher Pilot Program and we were
hoping to enlist your help in recruiting eligible observers by passing
out or posting the attached document.
The Master Teacher certification recognizes teachers
of distinction who consistently and positively affect their students'
achievement. Among other criteria, Master Teachers demonstrate instructional
excellence in the classroom through two observations using the University
of Virginia’s CLASS rubric. (http://www.classobservation.com/
). We will be training observers on the CLASS rubric in August in
Florida. Qualified observers will be compensated for the two day training
as well as paid $100 per observation.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to
